SafeTI™–26262

 

ISO 26262 is a functional safety standard for the automotive industry from the International Organization for Standardization that was approved in November 2011. This standard is applied to safety-related systems in road vehicles that include one or more electrical or electronic systems that are installed in production passenger vehicles with a maximum gross vehicle mass up to 3,500kg.

Examples of target automotive applications needing to meet this standard include:

  • Steering
  • Braking
  • Transmission
  • Powertrain
  • EV Traction Inverter
  • EV On Board Charging (OBC)
  • EV DC-DC
  • EV battery management
  • Body
  • ADAS with warning and automatic action

SafeTI-26262 design packages for functional safety applications include component-level compliance to ISO 26262, which supports ASIL levels from ASIL-A to ASIL-D. This component compliance enables manufacturers of road vehicle electrical systems to achieve system certification easier and faster.
