MSP430 Capacitive Touch Sense Software Library

The royalty-free MSP430 Capacitive Touch Sense Software Library gives developers the option to add touch sense capabilities to any MSP430 microcontroller consuming as little as 1KB of program memory. The open-source software library eliminates the need to develop complex touch sensing algorithms and supports various capacitive touch sensors, including buttons, sliders, wheels and proximity.

Capacitive Touch Optimized Microcontrollers

The Capacitive Touch Sense Software Library supports all MSP430 devices, and some include new peripherals optimized for touch sensing. The MSP430 Value Line G2xx2/3 devices include capacitive touch sense IOs, which enable developers to interface directly with capacitive touch pads without external components. The MSP430F51x2 devices include Timer_D, a high-performance timer featuring a 4 nanosecond resolution, enabling high-precision touch sensing.
