LTE Revolution
Experience how TI’s pre-integrated LTE platform, coupled with the OMAP platform’s signature IVA-HD acceleration enables video streaming, uploading and downloading at lightning-fast speed.

Wireless Connectivity

WiLink™ 8.0 solution-based fitness
WiLink 8.0 enabled device shows how you can simultaneously run your FM radio app, track your route using GNSS and Wi-Fi®, monitor your heart rate via Bluetooth® low energy technology, and get your strength measurement via ANT+™ technology.
WiLink 8.0 solution-based video streaming
Use an NFC tag to order a pre-paid movie by swiping the NFC tag on the back of TI’s Blaze™ tablet development platform (TDP). Then watch the movie using Wi-Fi® streaming while enjoying the soundtrack with your audio speakers, via Bluetooth® technology – all enabled by the WiLink 8.0 solution.
WiLink 8.0 solution-based smart posters
WiLink 8.0 solution-based tablet allows you to swipe an NFC tag on an advertising poster to give store location, hours and coupon. GNSS and Wi-Fi® functionality in the WiLink 8.0 solution provides the nearest store location and directions.
WiLink 8.0 solution-based NFC payments
Swipe the Blaze™ mobile development platform (MDP) over the NFC-enabled payment machine to simulate a secure, real-time store or vending machine purchase.
CC254x Bluetooth® Smart technology and CC257x ANT+ protocol
Track your endurance with the Salutron heart rate belt powered by TI’s CC254x Bluetooth® low energy SoC and the Motorola DROID RAZR™, made Smart Ready via TI’s WiLink connectivity combo solution. Easily develop Bluetooth® Smart apps on Android and iOS smartphones with the Bluetooth Sensor Tag kit (CC254x SoC), without any embedded software programming or wireless connectivity hardware knowledge. And, prove your strength with the ANT+™-enabled Quarq power meter, fueled by TI’s CC257x ANT network processor.

Analog

Wireless power
TI is taking wireless charging solutions to next-power level by demonstrating a Barnes & Noble NOOK® and Amazon Kindle that are powered with a bqTESLA™ wireless power solution.
Battery management
Battery life has never been more important, as our everyday lives are so dependent on our personal mobile devices. Optimize end user experience with our innovative battery charging and fuel gauging technologies. Battery management development platform to be demonstrated.
Power management for RF power amplifier
Smartphones need to maximize battery life and manage heat, especially when transmitting data over a 3G or 4G network. TI is demonstrating its new DC/DC switching converters that optimize the RF power amplifier power consumption for all operating conditions.
Haptics, touch screen, sensor technology
Keep in touch and enhance your mobile experience with this wide range of industry-leading touch screen controllers and haptic drivers. This demo showcases the smallest, most integrated piezo haptic driver, a linear resonant actuator with 50% lower power when driving haptics and vibrators using LRAs, and the industry’s only microcontrollerless capacitive touch screen controller for use with single layer, multi-touch ITO sensors.
Energy harvesting
Learn how energy harvested from body heat, vibration and ambient light can enable operation of micro power devices with our bq25504 nano power boost charger. Onsite demo will feature wireless sensor application.
Noise cancellation
This new digital active noise cancellation takes the noise out and gives a mobile user a better, richer sound experience using TI’s Digital Active Noise Cancellation solution using TLV320AIC3254, a stereo codec with embedded miniDSP.
Speaker protection
This demo demonstrates how to improve the overall sound experience in a smartphone with new speaker protection technology design to increase vocal clarity, acoustic dynamic range.
Power management for ARM® Cortex™-A15
Efficiently managing the power budget with tablets and ultra-mobile notebooks is critical to maintaining longer battery life. This demo showcases how TI’s power solutions for the OMAP™ 5 platform and ARM Cortex-A15 processors help boost battery life and simplify design.
AMOLED
AMOLED displays are becoming more prevalent in smartphone and tablet designs because of their lower power characteristics. This demo showcases that power is what TI is all about with our new TPS65137 and TPS65138 AMOLED display drivers.
Advanced backlighting display
Display backlight power in tablets can consume in excess of 70 percent of the overall system power. This will demonstrate and discuss some of the advanced power techniques used to reduce backlight power to significantly improve run time.
High-speed products/wireless infrastructure
TI will demonstrate a high-speed analog wideband radio design that pushes the limits of speed and performance while decreasing power consumption and device footprint. These new circuits help meet the future needs of multiband/ mode/standard macro base station, micro and small-cell base station and microwave backhaul customers.
Spatial audio
Mobile designers can greatly improve audio quality from small, closely spaced speakers by manipulating sounds in space to create a fully immersive, cinematic audio experience. This easyto- use software platform helps speed development time by eliminating the need for algorithm tuning and in house DSP experts.

Communications infrastructure/small cells

TI will demonstrate its dual-mode WCDMA/LTE small cell technology. TI’s small cell base station platform, the foundation of the demonstration, is based on TI’s KeyStone multicore architecture and industry leading TMS320C66x DSPs.

DLP®
