TI's Smart Grid Infrastructure Evaluation Board
The worldwide electric-power infrastructure is a set of interconnected facilities for power generation, transmission, conversion and distribution commonly referred to as "the grid." As demand for energy accelerates, this outdated infrastructure is being overtaxed; so governments, power producers, distributors, equipment providers and other stakeholders are working together to modernize it by adding intelligence, communications, and decentralized control.
TI provides solutions for the electrical substation and power-distribution system with the Grid Infrastructure platform combining sensing platform combining sensing, signal processing (power monitoring and analytics) and communications for applications ranging from concentrators, substation automation, intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) and power-monitoring systems to active relays. |
