The TI Worldwide University Program supports students, educators, and researchers integrating TI technology into course curricula, senior design projects and research projects.
TI provides a range of free or discounted ICs and tools, as well as support, for students and professors at any North American university.
In addition, we offer the two programs below at specific universities:
- Analog Design Contest and Engibous Prize:
Every year TI runs a two-phase design contest for students working on their senior design projects incorporating TI analog. Phase One awards a $1,500 first-place prize at each participating school. Phase Two awards a $10,000 first-place prize for the winning project in North America. Students in the contest receive free ICs and evaluation modules.
- Embedded Processors Program:
TI has over 2,000 labs installed in hundreds of universities worldwide to provide hands-on learning and enable advanced project capabilities for everything from the most basic microcontroller to the highest performance DSPs in the world. Professors can fill out a quick form to join the program and get access to product discounts, technical training, and local program support.
How can we help?
We have a broad portfolio of high-performance analog ICs as well as processors and want you to have easy access to the chips you need. You can order chips free through our sampling program.
- If you already know exactly which device/s you want, go to www.ti.com and click the bright red “Order Samples” button on the right. If you don’t already have a my.ti account, you’ll need to set one up. This only takes a few minutes.
- You can order up to 8 line items and up to 5 of each item. Shipping is free.
- Keep in mind that not every device is available for sampling, and you will find that some items available for sampling are back-ordered.
- Don’t know yet which device/s you want?

I need a processor, or an op amp, or a ______________ for my project. What do you recommend?
I need evaluation boards
- You can purchase any of our evaluation boards through our online store at www.ti-estore.com. (Note: Unlike ICs, we do not provide free samples for evaluation boards.)
I need tools
- Our Analog eLAB Design Center provides links to a variety of information, including online training, a variety of tools for selecting TI analog ICs, selection and solutions guides, and design and simulation software.
I need project ideas
- For examples of top senior design projects, take a look at the winning project reports from our nationwide, annual Engibous Prize competition. Also, see videos of student projects that competed for the prize.
I want to apply for a job at Texas Instruments
I want TI to sponsor or speak at an event
- Sign up to be a member of the Embedded Processors program to receive discounts, technical training and support, access to teaching materials, and the latest product updates.
- We are currently signing up new schools to participate in the Analog Design Contest and Engibous Prize. To learn more about the contests, visit www.ti.com/analoguniversityprogram. Then email us at analoguniversityprogram@list.ti.com to let us know you are interested in joining.
