SimpleLink ™ Wi-Fi®
TI continues to advance Wi-Fi technology solutions for the Internet of Things with the introduction of the self-contained SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000 module, which allows you to add Wi-Fi to any microcontroller-based (MCU-based) product without requiring prior RF expertise. Complete with enhanced software features including TI’s SmartConfig™ technology, this module offers developers a simple solution to add Wi-Fi connectivity to headless devices that lack keypads or touchscreens. Additional software features include service discovery, cloud connectivity and flexible memory size. The CC3000 has integrated the entire TCP/IP networking stack, Wi-Fi driver and security supplicant leading to easier portability to MCUs and an ultra-low memory footprint. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Combined
The WL1271 is offered as a fully-integrated high performance module utilizing TI's single-chip WL1271 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) Transceiver. Based on TI's 6th generation WLAN technology and 7th generation Bluetooth technology, the integrated solution provides best-in-class coexistence capabilities coupled with TI's Enhanced Low Power (ELP™) technology. The WL1271 is provided as a module by LSR and Murata to help customers reduce development time, lower manufacturing costs, save board space, ease certification, and minimize RF expertise required.
