Overview

This reference design extends the input voltage range on low-voltage push-pull controllers by employing cascode external FETs. The input voltage range is 12 V (+/-10%) or 24 V (+/-10%), with an output power of 1.2 W. The output voltage can be selected from two values, 12 V and 5 V, according to a list of four transformers.
