Overview

This reference design provides a software example which implements a frequency-hopping driver for the CC112x and CC1200 family of devices. The driver is written to enable users to make IoT wireless applications that are compliant with FCC Part 15.247 frequency-hopping system and also allows long range to be achieved.

Features
  • Longest range is achieved by utilizing the FCC 15.247 frequency hopping for the operation of unlicensed wireless devices in the 902-928-MHz ISM band that allows up to 30-dBm (1-watt) maximum output power
  • Lowest transmit side power is achieved through the asynchronous features of the fast-scanning receiver allowing the transmitters to remain in low-power sleep modes
  • Maximum robustness is achieved through utilizing frequency diversity and time diversity in the communication protocol
