xEV battery pack autonomous management in park mode

Safety of high-voltage, high-energy density battery pack becomes more and more important as xEV adoption rate goes up. Different governments are starting to regulate the xEV battery safety requirement. For example, GB-38031 calls out the detection of thermal runaway 5 minutes ahead of hazard happing. This presentation will discuss how the TI monitoring IC autonomously manages the battery pack under vehicle park mode, such us offline cell balancing, cell voltage, temperature monitoring and how monitors wake up the MCU upon indication of an abnormal event.
