After selecting the right DLP Pico chipset, you are ready to start your display projection project. You can learn more about the many display applications using DLP Pico technology. The easiest way to experience DLP technology is by purchasing an EVM. Depending on your needs, the full range of EVMs are designed to help both beginners and experienced engineers move from evaluation to production quickly.
Get started with our DLP LightCrafter™ display 2000 EVM
Our DLP2000 EVM is the most affordable way to get started with DLP Pico technology. This EVM is an nHD (640x360) projection display platform that contains the DLP2000 DMD. The EVM can be paired with a single-board computer for many display applications, which allows you to start evaluation with DLP Pico technology immediately.

Buy your DLP LightCrafter Display 2000 EVM.
Step 2:
Watch a quick video to learn how to pair the EVM with a single-board computer and get started with your design.
Step 3:
Connect your EVM to your single-board computer to continue your evaluation. The DLP2000EVM is compatible with BeagleBone Black and Raspberry Pi.

We are here to support you, with technical documentation, reference designs, training videos and more. In addition, our TI E2E™ support forums provide fast and reliable technical support from our engineers throughout every step of your design.
There are several options for integrating optical modules into your design. For applications focused on an application processor and DMD display interface electronics, an off-the-shelf DLP Pico optical engine may be the right choice. For more complex designs, custom optics are available from our third-party network of optical module manufacturers and design houses.
In addition, your printed circuit board needs to incorporate the appropriate layout and electrical design requirements for your DLP Pico display sub-system. Failure to adhere to these guidelines can result in permanent damage to devices.
