100BASE-TX Receiver

The 100BASE-TX receiver consists of several functional blocks which convert the scrambled MLT-3 125Mbps serial data stream to synchronous 2-bit wide data that is provided to the RMII.

The receive section consists of the following functional blocks:

  1. Input and BLW Compensation
  2. Signal Detect
  3. Digital Adaptive Equalization
  4. MLT-3 to Binary Decoder
  5. Clock Recovery Module
  6. NRZI to NRZ Decoder
  7. Descrambler
  8. Serial to Parallel
  9. Code-Group Alignment
  10. 4B/5B Decoder
  11. Link Integrity Monitor
  12. Bad SSD Detection
