System Module (SYS)

The SYS module manages many of the system functions within the device. These include power-on reset (POR) and power-up clear (PUC) handling, NMI source selection and management, reset interrupt vector generators (see Table 9-10), bootloader (BSL) entry mechanisms, and configuration management (device descriptors). The SYS module also includes a data exchange mechanism through JTAG called a JTAG mailbox that can be used in the application. See Table 9-50 for control and configuration registers.
