Operation outside the Absolute Maximum Rating may cause permanent device damage. Absolute maximum ratings do not imply functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those listed under Recommended Operating Condition. If briefly operating outside the Recommended Operating Conditions but within the Absolute Maximum Ratings, the device may not sustain damage, but it may not be fully functional. Operating the device in this manner may affect device reliability, functionality, performance, and shorten the device lifetime.
Refer to Breakdown Test.
The absolute maximum junction temperature for continuous operation is limited by the package constraints. Operation above this temperature can result in reduced reliability and/or lifetime of the device. The device has thermal protection that shuts down the device at approximately 180°C junction temperature and recovery at approximately 160°C.
