Fail-Safe Logic

TMUX7208 and TMUX7209 support Fail-Safe Logic on the control input pins (EN and Ax) allowing it to operate up to 44 V, regardless of the state of the supply pins. This feature allows voltages on the control pins to be applied before the supply pin, protecting the device from potential damage. Fail-Safe Logic minimizes system complexity by removing the need for power supply sequencing on the logic control pins. For example, the Fail-Safe Logic feature allows the TMUX7208 and TMUX7209 logic input pins to ramp up to +44 V while VDD and VSS = 0 V. The logic control inputs are protected against positive faults of up to +44 V in powered-off condition, but do not offer protection against negative overvoltage conditions.
