Switching Frequency

Choosing a switching frequency has a trade off between efficiency and bandwidth. Higher switching frequencies will have larger bandwidth, but a lower efficiency than lower switching frequencies. A switching frequency of 200 kHz was chosen as a trade off between bandwidth and efficiency. Using Equation 1, RT and CT were chosen to be 7.15 kΩ and 1200 pF, respectively.

Equation 1. fosc1.72Rosc×Cosc
Equation 2. fosc1.727.15 kΩ×1200 pF=200 kHz
