12.3.2.1 Trigger Repeaters

The ADC contains one trigger repeater module. This module can select any of the regular ADC triggers that are selectable by the ADCSOCxCTL.TRIGGER register, and generate a number of repeat pulses as configured in the REP1N.NSEL register. Figure 12-3 shows a functional block diagram of the ADC trigger repeater module.

The repeater module can apply two types of trigger modifications:

  • Oversampling mode (Up to 8 samples)
  • Re-trigger spread
Each of these trigger modification features is explained in detail in the following sections.
