20.1.6 I2C Clock Divider Registers (I2CCLKL and I2CCLKH)

As explained in Section 20.1.5, when the I2C module is a controller, the I2C module clock is divided down further to use as the controller clock on the SCL pin. As shown in Figure 20-4, the shape of the controller clock depends on two divide-down values:

  • ICCL in I2CCLKL. For each controller clock cycle, ICCL determines the amount of time the signal is low.
  • ICCH in I2CCKLH. For each controller clock cycle, ICCH determines the amount of time the signal is high.
