5 Software Flow Chart

This flow chart provides a high-level overview of the software for the DAC8 function generator. Most of the effort for this subsystem is properly configuring the peripherals through SysConfig. The application code only needs to point the DMA at the Waveform look up table (LUT) and the DAC8 control register and then start the periodic timer. The timer publishes an event every 40μs which triggers the DMA to transfer the next byte of the waveform.
