A typical sub-1 GHz design usually requires long range and a differential design is typically used. For lower cost and a smaller footprint, a single-ended design can be used at the expense of shorter range shown in Section 2.3.1
If CC13xx is interfaced to a front-end module (FEM) with dedicated 50 Ω ports for RX and TX, fewer components than in the single-ended RX/TX design are needed. This is covered in Section 2.3.2 and Section 2.3.3 for TX and RX only.
