Why is there a warning or error on the Tax ID section during the checkout process?

In order to comply with Mexican tax regulations, we verify input tax information against the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) for taxpayers to verify business status. A warning or error may appear for one of these reasons:

• The RFC Tax ID was entered incorrectly, does not match the company name associated with the Mexican tax authority, or is not registered with the Mexican tax authority
• The Tax Regime Code was entered incorrectly or does not match what is registered for the corresponding RFC Tax ID
• Postal code does not match what is registered with the Mexican tax authority for the corresponding RFC Tax ID
