Description

The TMP114 is a high accuracy, I2C-compatible digital output temperature sensor in an ultra-thin (0.15 mm) 4-pin package. With a low height package, the TMP114 can be put under surface mount components for the fastest and most accurate temperature measurement and supports the latest thin form factor systems.

The TMP114 has an accuracy of ±0.3 °C and offers an on-chip 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that provides a temperature resolution of 0.0078 °C.

The TMP114 is designed to operate from a supply voltage range of 1.08 V to 1.98 V, with a low average supply current of less than 0.7 µA. The low supply support, along with extremely low power consumption, is designed for battery-powered applications. The TMP114 is 100% tested on a production setup that is NIST traceable.

Description
The TMP114EVM allows users to evaluate the performance of the TMP114 digital temperature sensor. The evaluation module (EVM) comes in a USB-stick form factor, with an onboard MSP430F5528 microcontroller that interfaces with both the host computer and the TMP114 device using an I2C interface.
