Grid asset monitoring

Block diagram

Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs help you create a grid asset monitoring design to help protect your grid assets as you deliver reliable, efficient power and distributed generation. With the rise of grid automation and challenging smart grid requirements, our innovative subsystem designs will help you quickly turn conventional substations into intelligent substations with distribution end nodes coupled with a telemetry infrastructure to enable near-real-time data collection and transmissions.

Design requirements

Next-generation grid asset monitoring systems will require:

  • Space-optimized architectures.
  • Accurate power line voltage, current, temperature and quality measurement.
  • Precise isolation and efficient digitization of sensor output.
