Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs for medical power supply units (PSUs) help you design systems with ultra-low-standby power targeted to achieve Energy Star® level V, IEC/EN 60601-1 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 safety standards.

Design requirements

Innovative medical PSU designs often require:

  • Higher efficiency through soft-switching techniques and fast switching GaN devices.
  • Lower standby power to meet Energy Star® V, IEC/EN 60601-1 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 standards.
  • Lower total harmonic distortion (THD) over wide load conditions using front end power factor correction.
  • Increased safety through eFuse and electronic circuit breakers.
