Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs help you create innovative and robust merchant battery chargers to support multiple battery chemistries with high efficiency, high-power density and inbuilt protection circuits while meeting low-standby power requirements.

Design requirements:

Modern merchant battery charger designs often require:

  • Highly-efficient and high-power density for portability.
  • Programmable charging profiles to adapt to multiple battery chemistries and status communication.
  • Inbuilt protections for battery reverse polarity connection, over-current protection (OCP), over-temperature protection (OTP) and temperature compensation.
