Overview

Wireless control is gaining momentum with the growth of IoT. Lighting enables buildings to become smart homes, offices, retail and commercial spaces. Similarly, adding wireless controls and sensors to street lighting enables truly smart cities.

Design requirements

Modern wireless control designs require:

  • Big data to be easily and instantaneously accessible, allowing for increases in operational efficiency, comfort and security
  • Low power, memory efficient, secure and simple to adopt.
  • Reference designs that demonstrate ways to implement efficient wireless control and power management while complying with multiple standards across the world.
  • Reference designs that demonstrate ways to achieve simpler proprietary control systems.
