Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs help you create smarter and safer wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Whether a WPT1, WPT2 or WPT3 charging subsystem, we can help enable your design to efficiently transmit and receive power from a single, three-phase AC outlet.

Design requirements

Modern wireless EV charging stations often require:

  • High-efficiency PFC stage followed by isolated or non-isolated inverter power stage.
  • Foreign object detection of any object, especially metallic material.
  • Live object protection with false trigger avoidance to create a virtual safety circle.
  • Accurate, precise superposition of transmit and receive power coil.
