Texas Instruments AFE5808AEVM
The AFE5808AEVM provides a convenient platform to evaluate the AFE5808A. AFE5808A is an enhanced version of AFE5808 and it is recommended for new designs. Compared to AFE5808, it expands the cut-off frequency range of the digital high pass filter; reduces the correlated noise when high impedance source appears; increases the handling capability of extreme overload signals.
The AFE5808A is an 8-channel fully integrated analog front end (AFE) with a continuous wave (CW) Doppler mixer for Spectral Doppler ultrasound equipment. The EVM kit includes the User's Guide, software, a USB cable, and the board comes completely assembled. Users need to provide the input signal for measurement from a signal generator. Users will need to have a method to attach and analyze the data from the AFE5808's LVDS data stream. In the event that the user does not have a method, a deserializer board is offered. This board, the TSW1400EVM, directly connects to the AFE5808EVM and provides the data in parallel form for all eight channels simultaneously. The TSW1400EVM must be purchased separately.
