The Texas Instruments BQ24172EVM-706-15V (-002) evaluation module helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the bq24172 synchronous battery charger. The EVM is also called the HPA706 (-002). This EVM is optimized for a 12V or 15V input voltage and charges between 1 and 3 cell Li-Ion batteries. The bq24172 is a highly integrated stand-alone Li-ion and Li-polymer switch-mode, battery-charge controller with two integrated N-channel power MOSFETs and power path selector gate driver.
