The CC2538-CC2592EM reference design demonstrates the use of the CC2592 PA/LNA front end together with the CC2538 IEEE 802.15.4 System-on-Chip. The CC2592 RF front end includes PA, LNA, switches, balun, and RF matching, and will increase output power and improve receiver sensitivity on a 2.4 GHz low-power RF solution.

The CC2538+CC2592 combo provides a powerful solution for IEEE 802.15.4 and/or ZigBee™ applications requiring long range (higher output power) and improved sensitivity. The CC2538-CC2592EM reference design is the recommended starting point for integrating these two devices in your hardware solution. Please follow the reference design carefully to get optimum performance.
