Overview

The HD3SS460 is a high-speed passive crosspoint switch designed to support low-speed and high-speed signal switching required for USB Type-C™ with Alternate (ALT) mode applications. The HD3SS460-EVM-SRC evaluation module (EVM) comes with a legacy USB receptacle to connect to legacy USB systems and a DisplayPort receptacle to connect to DisplayPort capable source. There is no on-board CC/PD controller. The board has test headers that can be used to connect CC and other necessary signals to an external Type-C controller to evaluate the Type-C implementation.

  • The HD3SS460EVM-SRC can be used with a legacy DP source or USB host system to evaluate the Type-C implementation
  • The board has test headers that can be used to connect CC and other necessary signals to an external Type-C controller to evaluate the Type-C implementation
  • The EVM is configurable by jumpers
