This design is for implementing an ASIC Core AVS power supply using the the TPS53355 PowerStack Synchronous Buck SWIFT dc/dc converter and the LM10011 VID chip. The design accepts a 10V to 14V input and provides a 1V 20A output. The LM10011 is a precision, digitally programmable device, allowing for the output voltage of the Buck Converter to be adjusted for range and precision in response to ASIC Core usage scenarios.

  • 0.6% load regulation at 12VIN, 0.82V VOUT, from 0 A to 20A load
  • 4 Bit Vid Input for VOUT AVS from 0.6746V to 0.9605V
  • 67.9°C max case temperature at 20A load
  • 340mm² total power supply area
  • D-CAP Mode reduces undershoot/overshoot to 15mV/22mV in response to 10A load transient
  • 84% efficiency at 12VIN, 0.82V VOUT (VID = 1000)
