Overview

The PMP12027 reference design uses the UCC28740 flyback controller to generate a 48V/625mA output from a universal AC input.  The valley switching of the UCC28740 allows this design to achieve a maximum load efficiency over 90%; no load losses are less than 100mW. The constant current regulation mode of the UCC28740 provides accurate current limiting.
