The PMP4687 is a "load simulator" in the sense that it takes the energy from a 20 to 30V source (after the central unit of the load) and injects the current into the same source by stabilizing the input current (by means of INA193 and shunt resistor). Its typical application comes from LED lighting replacement on existing car and truck bulb replacement.
