Description
The main purpose of this reference design is to demonstrate a high performance offline phase dimmable Buck-Boost PFC LED driver based on LM3447. This LED driver is designed for converting an AC input to a regulated LED current.
The operating conditions and performance of the reference design are as follows:
- ●198VAC to 264VAC, 50Hz Input Voltage
- ●34V LED Voltage
- ●300mA LED Current
- ●85% Typical System Efficiency
- ●> 0.9 Power Factor
- ●Output Short-Circuit and Open-Circuit Protection

Both PCB footprints and schematic symbols are available for download in a vendor neutral format, which can then be exported to the leading EDA CAD/CAE design tools using the Ultra Librarian Reader. The reader is available as a (free download.).
The UL Reader is a subset of the Ultra Librarian toolset that can generate, import, and export components and their attributes in virtually any EDA CAD/CAE format.
