Overview

The TAS6422EQ1EVM evaluation module (EVM) showcases a 2-Mhz, 4-channel digital input Class-D audio solution for automotive infotainment. The TAS6422E’s 2.1-Mhz switching frequency allows users to significantly reduce inductor size and optimize total system cost. TAS6422E delivers 25 W (10% THD+N) per channel into 4 Ω with a 14.4-V supply, and the wide-supply voltage capability, 4.5-V to 26-V, is ideal for head units and external amplifier systems, while delivering top-of-the-line performance during start-stop low voltage transient events. TAS6422E includes spread spectrum technology to meet CISPR25 Class 5 EMI compliance standards and integrates I2C diagnostics and protection.
