Overview

The LP8861Q1EVM evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of this device.  The LP8861Q1EVM uses the LP8861-Q1 to drive up to 4 LED strings (up to 12 LEDs each, 48 LEDs together) for LCD backlighting with high efficiency.  Information about output voltage and current ratings of LP8861Q1EVM can also be found in the LP8861-Q1 datasheet.  Power supply connection for the battery and test points for each signal can be found on the evaluation board.  LED brightness can be controlled by external PWM signal.  Separate LED board can be used as a load or it is possible to connect LCD panel to the output connector.  Temperature based LED current reduction can be evaluated with external or mounted of EVM NTC sensor.

Features
  • Input voltage 4.5 to 40 V
  • Output voltage up to 45 V
  • Output current 100 mA/channel
  • Switching frequency 300 kHz to 2.2MHz
  • NTC sensor for LED current dimming
