Phase shifted full bridge (PSFB) vs full bridge LLC (FB-LLC) for high power DC/DC conversion

The phase shifted full bridge (PSFB) has always been considered the best design for high power DC/DC conversion. However, a newer technology called full bridge LLC (FB-LLC) has recently been used and accepted for high power DC/DC conversion. In this three-part series, we will go in-depth in discussing the pros and cons of both the PSFB and FB-LLC. We will then compare the basic problems between the PSFB and FB-LLC and give ideas on how to choose between the two given a certain application. Lastly, we will review some reference designs.
