Short-to-Battery and Short-to-VBUS Protection on VD+, VD–

The VD+ and VD– pins are protected against shorts to battery and shorts to bus. The OVP threshold on the VD+ and VD– pins is low enough that it protects against shorts to VBUS.

Once a voltage above the VOVP threshold is detected by the device, it shuts off all FETs and asserts a fault on the FLT pin. Once the excessive voltage is removed, the device automatically re-enables and FLT deasserts.
