Transformer Design

The Fly-Buckā„¢ transformer has the same mechanism as the flyback converter[1]. Thus, they share the same principles in design. For optimal performance, it is important to minimize the transformer leakage inductance and parasitic capacitance. Both the Flyback and Fly-Buck topologies are susceptible to ringing problem from these parasitic.
