Supported PHYs

TI Bluetooth LE-stack offers the mandatory LE 1M PHY and several other PHYs listed in Table 4-1 to adapt to different applications.

A more detailed description on the available PHYs can be found in the Physical Layer section in the TI BLE5-Stacks User's Guide.

Table 4-1 PHYs
PHY Transmission Rate Approx. Max. Application Data Rate Description
LE 1M 1 Mbit/s 750 kbps Supports data transfer with mandatory data rate of 1 Mbps
LE 2M 2 Mbit/s 1400 kbps Supports data transfer with up to 2 Mbps with a reduced range
LE Long Range Coded S2 500 kbps 400 kbps Reduced data rate with up to 2 times higher range
LE Long Range Coded S8 125 kbps 100 kbps Further reduced data rate with up to 4 times higher range
