Overview

The AFE3256 evaluation module (EVM) is used to evaluate the AFE3256 device, a low-power, low-noise charge readout IC (charge to digital converter) in chip-on-flex (COF) package. The EVM comprises an analog board, which seamlessly integrates with the TSWDC155EVM (FPGA EVM) for data capture. The EVM contains all necessary control signals and on-board power generation, which greatly reduces the need for external equipment. The EVM also includes easy-to-use software for Microsoft® Windows® enabling quick evaluation of the device features and performance.

Features
  • Analog EVM compatible with TWSDC155EVM
  • Supports two AFE3256TFU COFs, also contains mezzanine connector to support additional COF packages
  • On-board DC-DC converter for improved power efficiency, with bypass option
  • On-board low-noise reference generator to provide reference voltage to the AFE3256 devices
  • GUI software for control of AFE3256 device modes and functions

  • 10-01936 - Cable assembly 2.1 mm ID, 5.5 mm OD plug to wire leads flat 6.0' (1.83 m)
  • RM3X8MM 2701 - Machine screw pan Phillips M3 (quantity 4)
  • 24438 - Standoff, hex, 25 mm length, M3, aluminum (quantity 4)
