Description

This is an isolated quasi-resonant flyback converter, supplying 5 V at 300 mA and 15 V at 100 mA; both outputs are isolated from each other. The UCC28722 has been chosen to drive a low-cost high-voltage BJT transistor.

Features
  • UCC28722-based isolated flyback
  • 70% peak efficiency at full load 325-V DC input voltage
  • Wide input voltage range: 85-V to 440-V AC
  • Low cost due to main switch BJT transistor
  • Magnetic feedback - no optocoupler needed
