Overview

The TPL1401 evaluation module (EVM) is an easy-to-use platform to evaluate the functionality and performance of the TPL1401 product. TPL1401 is a buffered voltage-output digital potentiometer (DPOT). This product has nonvolatile memory (NVM), an internal reference, and an I2C interface.

TPL1401 operates with either an internal reference or the power supply as a reference, and provides full-scale output of 1.8 V to 5.5 V. The device communicates through the I2C interface. It supports I2C standard mode (100 kbps), fast mode (400 kbps), and fast-mode plus (FM+) (1 Mbps).

Features
  • 256-position DPOT for voltage divider
  • 1 LSB integral nonlinearity (INL) and differential nonlinearity (DNL)
  • Buffered wiper for improved load regulation
  • Wiper lock function protects accidental writes to DPOT
