What's New?

  • Support for WPA3 Personal in client mode. WPA3 introduces the use of Protected Management Frames (PMF) as well as using the Simultaneous Authentication of Equals (SAE) technique to authenticate clients instead of the Pre-shared Key (PSK) used in WPA2-Personal. See https://www.wi-fi.org/discover-wi-fi/security for more details on WPA3
  • Added ability to disable legacy PS-Poll power save mechanism for improved compatibility with access points (APs), that do not fully support PS-Poll control frames. With PS-Poll disabled, the device still uses 802.11 power save mode, but will transition to active mode instead of using a PS-Poll frame to receive buffered unicast data from the AP
