Overview

The TPS92602EVM evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS92602-Q1 2-channel high side current sense DCDC MOSFET controller. The TPS92602-Q1is designed to drive automotive high-brightness light emitting diodes (LEDs) and features a wide input voltage range (4.5 V to 40 V), High-Side Current Sense, a precision reference, switching frequency synchronization analog dimming, PWM dimming, and full diagnostics including High-Side current (LED Current) available as analog output, open-LED / short to GND detection, and shorted output protection.

  • Input Voltage: 4V – 40V (45V abs. max)
  • Output Voltage: 4V – 75V (80V abs. max)
  • Fixed Frequency Current Mode Controller with integrated Slope Compensation
  • 2 regulation loops, Constant Current Output or Constant Voltage Output
  • High-Side Current
  • Diagnostic:
    • High-Side current (LED Current) available as analog output
    • Open-LED / Short to GND Detection
    • Shorted Output Protection
