8.2.1.4 Application Curves (Other Variants)

The sensor spectral matching to the human eye photopic response (see Figure 5-2, Figure 5-3) determines the sensor capability of reporting accurate light intensity readings across lighting conditions. The bare device response over angle is illustrated in Figure 5-4. Both of these curves can be effected when the sensor is integrated at the system level. The Ambient Light Sensor Application Guide gives more details on integrating the light sensor and system-level design considerations.
