10 Power Supply Recommendations

The LP3988 device is designed to operate from an input supply voltage range of 2.5 V to 6 V. The input supply must be well regulated and free of spurious noise. To ensure that the LP3988 output voltage is well regulated and dynamic performance is optimum, the input supply voltage is recommended to be at least the greater of either VOUT + 200 mV, or 2.5 V.
