Frequency Dithering

Frequency dithering, also known as frequency swapping, frequency hopping, frequency jitter, is a concept to modulate the primary switching frequency by a small amount to spread the EMI energy, lowering EMI peaks. UCC28750 modulates the primary switching frequency by superimposing a triangular frequency onto the switching frequency, shifting the switching frequency by 5%, fdither(range), over a period of 240Hz, Tdither.
