Factors Affecting Voltage Regulation

A flybuck converter regulates the primary output voltage with a closed-loop controller. The isolated output is achieved by rectifying the secondary winding of the coupled inductor when the low side MOSFET is on. Therefore the isolated output regulation is passive, affected by the winding leakage inductance, winding resistances, diode drop, and low-side MOSFET, RDSON.
