Disable Jumper (JP1)

The TPS40193EVM-001 provides a three-pin, 100-mil (0.100 in) header and shunt for testing the TPS40193 disable function.

Placing the JP1 shunt in the Left Position GUID-5A1701A4-25F7-4E91-9A66-3C44D4694BD0-low.gif drives the Q1 FET to pull the TPS40193 EN pin low, disabling the controller. Removing the JP1 shunt or installing it in the Right Position GUID-3438E71D-32EE-4376-91E9-EDD7411BBEB8-low.gif shorts the Q1 gate to ground and enables the TPS40193EVM-001 output.
